Introduction to trail running

£25 an hour pp (1-6people)

Would you like to leave the roads behind and head out into the hills of the Peak District. This trail running course is the perfect way to gain confidence and experience trail running. The routes follow well maintained walking trails and although helpful, specific trail shoes aren’t obligatory.

Our female trail running guide can personalise the length of the run for your ability and experience.

 

Map Skills

Basic (1-4 people)

£80 for a half day pp (3hours)

£150 for a full day pp(6 hours)

This course is designed to help you learn to navigate. Whether you want to gain confidence in your ability or start from scratch. We will look over basic map symbols and then head out in to the hills for practice. Using a compass, recognising features from the map, understanding contour lines, bad weather strategies.

Running Navigation

£80 for a half day pp (3hours)

This step up will look at specific strategies to navigate while running. Using a watch and GPS to navigate routes and how to make decisions at speed.

Trail running intermediate.

£30 an hour pp (1-4 people)

This course moves up a level from the introduction course. The routes are longer and more technical. Learn how to move over rocky ground and gain confidence in your foot placements. Our female trail running guide will help you gain confidence to venture further away from the regularly used paths.

Trail shoes recommended.

 

Ultra Marathon Planning and Prep

£30 an hour pp

Do you have plans for an ultra or have you signed up and are now in a preparation panic?

 We have completed numerous Ultras including the Winter Spine Challengers North and South and can help you with both your physical and mental preparations.
